Shipping policy

Thank you for shopping with YanMist Tea. We carefully pack each order to help preserve the aroma, roast character, and quality of our Wuyi rock oolong teas during transit.
This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped, tracked, and delivered.
1. Order Processing Time
Most orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment is successfully received.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will usually begin processing on the next business day.
During high-volume periods, product launches, holidays, or unexpected operational delays, processing may take slightly longer. If there is a significant delay with your order, we will contact you by email.
2. Shipping Destinations
YanMist Tea currently ships to the United States and may offer shipping to selected international destinations depending on carrier availability and checkout settings.
Available shipping destinations and shipping options will be shown during checkout.
If your country or region is not available at checkout, we may not currently support delivery to that location.
3. Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated and displayed at checkout based on your shipping address, order weight, shipping method, and available carrier options.
From time to time, YanMist Tea may offer free shipping promotions, such as free shipping above a certain order value. Any available free shipping offer will be shown on the website or applied during checkout when eligible.
Shipping fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law or unless the issue was caused by an error on our part.
4. Estimated Delivery Time
Estimated delivery times depend on your shipping destination, selected shipping method, carrier service, customs clearance, and local delivery conditions.
For U.S. orders, estimated delivery times will typically be shown at checkout or in your shipping confirmation.
For international orders, delivery times may vary more significantly due to customs clearance, local postal handling, seasonal demand, or carrier delays.
Please note that delivery estimates are not guarantees. Once an order has been handed to the carrier, delivery timing is primarily controlled by the carrier and local delivery network.
5. Shipping Confirmation and Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information, if tracking is available for your selected shipping method.
Tracking information may take some time to update after the carrier receives the package. If your tracking number does not show movement immediately, please allow 24–72 hours for the carrier system to update.
If you do not receive a shipping confirmation email, please check your spam or junk folder first. If you still cannot find it, contact us with your order number.
6. Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes
For international orders, customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, customs handling fees, or other local charges may apply.
These charges are determined by your local customs authority or delivery carrier and are the responsibility of the customer unless clearly stated otherwise at checkout.
YanMist Tea cannot control or predict customs fees, import taxes, or customs clearance times.
If you refuse to pay required customs charges, taxes, or import fees and the package is returned, abandoned, delayed, or destroyed, YanMist Tea may not be able to provide a full refund. Any refund, if applicable, may be reduced by original shipping fees, return shipping fees, customs fees, handling fees, or other costs incurred.
7. Incorrect or Incomplete Shipping Address
Please make sure your shipping address is complete and accurate before placing your order.
YanMist Tea is not responsible for orders delayed, returned, lost, or delivered incorrectly due to an address entered incorrectly by the customer.
If you notice an address mistake after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try to update the address before shipment, but we cannot guarantee changes once an order has entered processing or has been dispatched.
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address, we may offer reshipment at the customer’s expense or issue a partial refund after deducting original shipping costs, return shipping costs, and any fees incurred.
8. Carrier Delays
YanMist Tea is not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to:
- Carrier delays
- Customs clearance
- Weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Public holidays
- High shipping volume
- Incorrect or incomplete address information
- Local postal service issues
- Security inspections
- International transportation delays
We will do our best to assist you if a shipment appears delayed, but we cannot guarantee delivery dates once the package is in the carrier’s possession.
9. Lost Packages
If your tracking information shows no movement for an extended period, or if you believe your package may be lost, please contact us with your order number and tracking number.
We may ask the carrier to investigate the shipment.
A package will not be considered lost until the carrier confirms it is lost or until a reasonable investigation period has passed.
If a package is confirmed lost due to carrier error, we may offer a replacement or refund depending on product availability and the circumstances of the shipment.
YanMist Tea is not responsible for packages marked as delivered by the carrier but reported missing by the customer. In such cases, please first check with household members, neighbors, building management, mailrooms, parcel lockers, and the local carrier.
10. Packages Marked as Delivered
If tracking shows that your package was delivered but you have not received it, please take the following steps:
- Confirm that the shipping address on your order is correct.
- Check around your delivery location, mailbox, front desk, parcel locker, or mailroom.
- Ask household members, neighbors, or building staff.
- Contact the carrier using your tracking number.
If the package still cannot be located, contact us and we will do our best to help. However, YanMist Tea cannot guarantee replacement or refund for packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier.
11. Damaged Packages
We pack orders carefully, but damage can occasionally occur during shipping.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the damaged product
- Photos of the outer shipping box
- Photos of the packaging materials
- A brief description of the issue
Please keep all packaging materials until the issue has been reviewed.
If the damage is verified, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund depending on the situation and product availability.
12. Missing or Incorrect Items
If you receive the wrong item or something is missing from your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Please include your order number, photos of the items received, and a description of the issue.
If the issue is confirmed, we will work with you to correct it as soon as possible.
13. Order Changes and Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible.
We can only modify or cancel an order before it has been shipped.
Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. You may refer to our Refund Policy for return eligibility after receiving the order.
14. Tea Freshness and Packaging
Our teas are packed to help protect their aroma, roast character, and freshness during shipping.
For best quality after delivery, we recommend storing tea in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, heat, and strong odors.
